Josue Portillo, DO, is an assistant professor in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Internal Medicine. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, Dr. Portillo received his bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from UNLV. Afterwards, he earned his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. Returning to his hometown, Dr. Portillo completed his critical care medicine fellowship at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine.
Dr. Portillo’s medical interests include medical education, point-of-care ultrasound, and neurocritical care disorders. Along with these, he has personal interests in community outreach and medical exposure to underserved populations.
