Heather Boaky-Wenzel, MD

Heather Boakye-Wenzel, MD, assistant professor of internal medicine, grew up in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a degree in biology. While at UTEP, she competed as a Division I soccer student-athlete.
Dr. Boakye-Wenzel earned her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. She moved to Las Vegas in 2016 to continue her medical training at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Pulmonary-Critical Care Fellowship, which she completed in 2019. She then worked at the VA of Southern Nevada before recently transitioning back to the school of medicine to continue her dedication to training future pulmonary-critical care physicians.
