Odessa Pulido, DO, MS

Odessa Pulido, DO, MS, is an assistant professor in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Surgery. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Pulido earned her medical degree and completed her general surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then continued with her training and completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Pulido has peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of
Trauma Acute Care Surgery and the Journal of Surgical Research.
She has also had her work presented at the Eastern
Association for the Surgery of Trauma’s Annual Scientific
Assembly, the Annual Academic Surgical Congress, and the
Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation Annual Conference. Some of
her notable awards are the Elton G. Crosby Jr. Chapter Member of
the Year due to her work with the Student National Medical
Association and the Dr. Shachar Shimonovich Surgery Award, which
she received during her fellowship.
Along with her interests in acute trauma resuscitation and critical care, Dr. Pulido is interested in team development and leadership. She has used her background in organizational leadership to educate and develop surgical trainees and teams.
