Doctor Ear Nose & Throat (ENT)

Megan Masterson, AuD, CCC-A, is an audiologist at the UNLV Health Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) Clinic. She has a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Having practiced audiology for 10 years, Dr. Masterson has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practices and ENT clinics. Dr. Masterson’s interests include cochlear implants and other implantable devices.

Originally from Indiana, Dr. Masterson received both her bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences, and her clinical doctorate in audiology from Purdue University. She completed her clinical placements at Richard L. Roudebush Veterans’ Administration Medical Center and at Ascension St. Vincent Audiology, where she worked with implantable devices and spent time working with surgeons in the operating room. Dr. Masterson then completed her audiology extern year at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.

Dr. Masterson spent five years working as a researcher in the auditory implants and speech perception lab at Purdue University in which she collected and analyzed data for normal hearing and cochlear implant subjects. She is a published co-author in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America and has presented research at the Conference on Implantable Auditory Prostheses.
