Pediatrics

Doctor General Pediatrics

Ashley Reyes was born in Yonkers, New York, and grew up in a large family. She relocated to Las Vegas during her school years and attended West Career and Technical Academy, where she began her journey into nursing through their pre-nursing magnet program.

Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). During her BSN program, she completed a senior preceptorship at Summerlin Hospital in their Children’s Medical Center, which led to a quick job offer after graduation. With a goal to become a Pediatric Oncology RN, she began her career as a Staff RN I in general pediatrics at Summerlin Hospital Children’s Medical Center. After becoming proficient in general pediatrics, she quickly advanced to become an APHON Certified RN II in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Although being an RN in the hematology/oncology field is a rewarding position, she continued to strive and desired to learn more on how she can improve her patients’ lives and become more involved in the Las Vegas healthcare community. While working as an RN, Ashley pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and began teaching part-time as a Clinical Nursing Instructor for pediatric rotations at Chamberlain University. She completed her MSN through Chamberlain University’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program and passed her board exam through ANCC, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Ashley is now a full time nurse practitioner with UNLV Health Pediatrics, excited to serve the community of Las Vegas.
