Althea Fennell

Althea was born in Jamaica, West Indies. She lived in New York upon migration but has been a resident of Las Vegas for the past 23 years.
She has worked in the social service field for over 28 years and dedicated the past twenty years to serving people with Serious Mental Health Conditions.
Althea spent two years as a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
Althea wanted to be a teacher as a child and feels as though she has achieved that goal facilitating groups such as Budgeting/Money Management, Communication Skills and Emotional Awareness with her peers.
She also enjoys planning and coordinating events for Day Treatment Program members; such as, Saint Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, and Christmas.
